Here’s a look at the “It’s a Small World” Cake I made in October 2016. It’s a two-tier fondant covered cake with a 360-degree design around the bottom tier made of a bunch of fondant cutouts in the style of the “It’s a Small World” castle at Disneyland.  I thought this was such a lovely, unique theme!  Just think about the awesome backdrop & fun props you can use to decorate!  The bottom tier was an 8″ hazelnut cake with Nutella buttercream.  The top tier was a 6″ ube purple yam cake with ube buttercream. Client review: “Thank you so much Joy! The cake was such a hit andeveryone loved it ? It definitely completed mia’s birthday theme!” – Ria I’m a San Diego based cake artist with a licensed home baking business. This is a three-tier fondant covered cake decorated with a bunch of edible images!  My client wanted a large cake for her son’s 10th birthday that was themed after his favorite basketball team, the Golden State Warriors.  For inspiration, my client sent me a lot of Warriors logos, so I thought it would be fitting for them to be allover the cake like posters on a wall.  The bottom tier is a 10″ chocolate & vanilla marble cake with Oreo buttercream, and the middle tier was an 8″ lemon cake with raspberry buttercream.  The top tier was a 5″ Rice Krispy basketball covered in chocolate ganache and fondant.  This cake was certainly a hit!  Here’s a review from my client: “Joy, Thank you so SO much for making the most amazing cake I’ve purchased yet! I got so many compliments on the style and creativity on the cake! The lemon raspberry selection was an absolute hit!  Just had to share and send my deepest appreciation for the cake! I will definitely be in touch!!!” XOXO, ~D

https://instagram.com/p/8_VJqPyjIm/?taken-by=mmcbakes First time making a cake with a bunch of sculpted fondant figures!  I thought the figures were going to be simpler to make as they were very boxy, but they took longer to because of the sharp edges of each cube!  Nonetheless, had a great time making this one.  It’s an 8″ round cake that can feed up to 20 party slices, and my prices start at $3 per serving for fondant covered cakes like this one.  I also charge between $5-$10 for each sculpted figure.
